Richard J. Giromini is an industrial manufacturing leader with more than 35 years of experience in the automotive and commercial transportation industries. Since 2007, Mr. Giromini has been responsible for the strategic direction and operations of Wabash National Corporation in his role as chief executive officer. Under his leadership Wabash National Corporation has continued to grow and diversify with an emphasis on corporate strategy, safety, improvement and operational excellence.
Mr. Giromini’s industrial manufacturing career began at General Motors Corporation and continued in a series of successive engineering and senior management positions at Doehler-Jarvis Corporation, Hayes Wheels International, ITT Automotive and Accuride Corporation.
In addition to his leadership role at Wabash National, Mr. Giromini serves on the executive committee and is past chairman of the Indiana Manufacturers Association (IMA); serves on the executive committee and is past chairman of the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association (TTMA); serves on the board and is a member of the executive committee of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP); serves on the board of CICP’s Ascend Indiana; serves on the board of Greater Lafayette Commerce (GLC) and is a member of the GLC Economic & Community Development Council; serves as vice chairman of the Senior Council of Junior Achievement; serves on the steering committee for the Wabash Heartland Innovation Network (WHIN) regional initiative; and previously served on the board of Robbins & Myers.
Mr. Giromini holds a Master of Science in Industrial Management and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from Clarkson University. He has also completed the Advanced Management Program at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
