The Wabash WP Axle combines the superior performance of the large TP-style bearing with a time-tested castellated single-nut attachment system in place of the double-nut/lock washer system. The WP axle is pre-drilled with three holes, permitting precise and predictable pre-load of the bearing at the time of installation. The castellated single-nut attachment system provides simple, precise and consistent installation and permits easy maintenance and quality control. Easy-to-monitor pre-load criteria eliminates unintentional loose installation leading to wheel-wobble and problems common to current double-nut/lock washer systems.
Consistent, predictable pre-load is achieved at installation and after maintenance. Elimination of loose wheel-ends leading to premature seal failure, due to backing-off or improper installation of double-nut/lock washer wheel-end attachment systems. |
